Talavera Sun & Moon Eclipse Large moon

Bring a colorful celestial accent to your wall with this round Talavera Sun & Moon Eclipse Large. Handcrafted and hand-painted in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, Mexico, this pottery piece pairs a curving moon with a sun peeking out from behind it.

The moon begins on the left and curves around to form a circular outline. Inside, the sun’s face shows two eyes, a nose, and a mouth with red lips. Rays surround the sun’s face, with an open gap between the sun and the circle formed by the moon, giving the design an airy, openwork appearance.
