Our Talavera butterfly sugar skull is special!  The skull is decorated with colorful monarch butterflies - very festive and beautiful!  The face is beautifully detailed. This skull is hand painted and signed.  Very expertly crafted! Made in Guanajuato, Mexico.

Day of the Dead is a holiday in Mexico celebrating life. It is a day of remembrance, a day to remember loved ones that have passed away.   This clay sugar skull is a symbol of the "Day of the Dead" (Dia de Muertos).  Dia de Los Muertos is celebrated throughout Mexico with colorful festivals and parades, a very traditional family holiday.
