Our cheerfully painted Mexican Sugar Skull Luminera is a popular decoration for Dia de Los Muertos, Day of the Dead.   The bottom is cut in a circle to accommodate a battery operated candle.  The cut outs in the skull will allow the light to shine through.  Very expertly crafted! Made in Guanajuato, Mexico.

Day of the Dead is a holiday in Mexico celebrating life. It is a day of remembrance, a day to remember loved ones that have passed away.   This clay sugar skull is a symbol of the "Day of the Dead" (Dia de Muertos).  Dia de Los Muertos is celebrated throughout Mexico with colorful festivals and parades, a very traditional family holiday.

The Sugar Skull shown will be the actual piece shipped.
